From Instagram to LinkedIn, social media is a powerful tool that any business can use to tell their story. Here’s some of my most recent social media work.
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we looked for ways to share useful information with our neighbors and support small businesses online. Facebook was one of the best platforms for this, allowing us to share longer posts, mark posts as specific “COVID-19 Updates” and reach a wider audience.
Twitter’s fast pace allowed us to engage with trends (like the “Is It Cake?” meme in July 2020) while promoting local businesses. We crafted dedicated roughly five Tweets per week to local businesses, using media to ensure reach and engagement.
Instagram’s visual-heavy platform allowed us to share vivid images of Greenwich Village with our community and promote local events like the Astor Place Greenmarket. Consistent use of the Instagram Stories feature helped us connect with the community on a more up-to-the-minute basis and share content from local residents and businesses. We also used tools like Canva and Photoshop to create visually appealing infographics for the platform.
