About Charlotte

Charlotte Dow is a New York-based writer and strategic communications professional. She has been writing and creating everything from vlogs to plays since she first learned to put words together. She received her B.S. in Screenwriting and Playwriting from Drexel University in 2014 and started her career as an assistant in the entertainment industry, working at WME and Dramatists Play Service.

After several years of answering phones, she decided to combine her love of writing with her newly-developed business acumen and enter the field of communication. In 2021, she received her M.S. in Public Relations & Corporate Communication from NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Since making this career pivot, she has worked in publicity and digital content creation for organizations such as Focus Features, The Village Alliance and Cinetic Media. She currently serves as a senior analyst at Stern Investor Relations.

Charlotte’s personal essays and editorial content have been published in major outlets such as HelloGiggles, Elite Daily, The Financial Diet, BUST and more. She also publishes essays on pop culture, travel and young adult life on her blog.

Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys singing with her barbershop chorus, watching long video essays about theme park history, knitting chunky blankets and spending as much time outside as possible.
